After just three episodes of his new television series promoting a “food revolution” here in the States (after his campaign to bring healthy, cost-efficient meals to the UK), it’s official. I have a geek girl crush on Naked Chef Jamie Oliver.
His inspiring TED award speech in March proved he could hold his own among the geeks. His latest show that he’s not just a food porn, he’s a healthy food hero.
Jamie, I’d eat healthy with you in the buff anytime you’d like.
It’s official, I have a crush on Rachel Maddow. And why not, she’s smart, feisty and unapologetically geeky.
Former Rhodes scholar and gay rights activist, this sexy geek is currently kicking ass nightly on MSNBC. She tweets, podcasts and has many, many fans online. Oh and she holds a PhD in politics from Oxford. Rachel, I’ll talk politics with you whenever you want.

Just in time to round out your holiday shopping, the ladies of the tech-social news community/website Reddit have put together a sexy (and geeky) calendar.
Available at the xkcd store, 50% of the profits go to the charity of your choice (from a list of 6 charities voted on from the featured ladies). All 14 of the lovely ladies included are sexy and worthy of each and every geek fight on Reddit.
I’ve argued about whether or not Viggo Mortensen is geeky enough to qualify as a “Sexy Geek”, so I’ve laid out the facts:
Ok, so he is also outstandingly good looking. And ruggedly handsome. And a poet. And this one time in a movie, he fought off the Russian mob naked in a sauna in what Roger Ebert called “a benchmark”. A benchmark for sexiness perhaps.
Viggo, I’d fight naked while waxing poetic with you anytime.

Jonathan Coulton makes geek rock sexy (photo by Dale May)
Jonathan Coulton is not your average folk singer, aside from being a very talented singer/songwriter (and damn sexy), he also has an incredibly smart brain I want to eat with a spoon.
Known affectionately as JoCo to his fans, he first achieved Internet fame with his Thing a Week project, where he released a new song every week for a year where he solidified his Geek Rock King for Life with Code Monkey, a song that explores the life of an externally grumpy software engineer with a “big warm fuzzy secret heart”. Geek girls around the globe exclaimed in unison “YES! Geeks ARE sexy!”
All of the songs he’s written are licensed Creative Commons by-nc and many are available to download for free. I’ve been to a few of his live shows and the crowd rapidly degenerates into a geeky sing-along with robots, monkeys and evil scientists. Plus he wrote a catchy song about the Mandelbrot Set.
Math songs that are sexy? JoCo, you can explain badass fractals to me anyday.

Brian Vaughan's secret smile (photo: Vertigo)
In between writing some of the most brilliantly smart comic books around, Brian K. Vaughan was also one of the key writers on the geeky-creepy TV show Lost. His series Y: The Last Man, created with Pia Guerra, invisions a post-gender apocolypse world that still remains sexy.
Brian, I’ll imagine sexy futures with you anytime.

Danica McKellar does Math
Although Winnie never got to second base with Kevin on The Wonder Years, Danica McKeller was clearly paying attention to the “Geeks are Sexy” rule. In addition to her acting career, she found time to get a Math degree from UCLA and also penned two sexily titled math books: Math Doesn’t Suck (2007) and Kiss My Math (2008). Both books encourage middle school girls to enjoy math. Sexy and sassy!
So Danica… I’ve got this trigonometry problem… wanna help?
